A Tale of Two Presidents

January 2, 2025

President Jimmy Carter passed away a few days ago, one of the most honest and well-intentioned men ever to hold that vaulted office. It is ironic that he was eulogized by President Joe Biden, the most dishonest and downright evil person ever to darken the door to the Oval Office. Even so, these two men had much in common. Their administrations were disastrous and did grave damage to the United States of America.

Carter was hard-working and dedicated to this country. He was well-intentioned but many of his decisions worked to the detriment of our nation. He will be remembered for work as a humanitarian while in office and for years afterward, providing houses for the poor and working to make their lives better. He advocated the privatization of many government functions. His greatest achievement was the act of bringing the Israelis and Egyptians together to end years of hostilities between the two countries. Unfortunately, his accomplishments were overshadowed by his failures, including rampant inflation and excessively high interest rates. His administration refused to support the Shah of Iran, who was overthrown in 1979, and on November 5th of that year, Iranian dissidents attacked the U.S. Embassy, taking more than sixty hostages. They were held in captivity until January 20, 1981, the day Ronald Reagan became President. The Iranians have been an irritant to this nation and a menace to the world since then. One of President Carter’s most unpopular acts was the surrender of the Panama Canal to the Panamanians. He also was criticized for interfering in U.S. Foreign policy after leaving office and labeled by some as anti-American.

Carter’s failures as president will be overlooked as he is eulogized at the nation’s capital building. However, after the ceremonies., we will resume our remembrance of a little man who attempted to do a job that was much too big for him. That is why he will go down as one of the worst presidents in our history.

The story of Joe Biden is altogether different., but it resulted in catastrophic circumstances for our country. He sucked from the national teat for more than fifty years as a senator, vice president, and president. He plagiarized his public statements and writings. He posed as an everyman while amassing wealth from dubious sources. As vice president, he bribed the government of Ukraine to protect his son, Hunter, who was conducting questionable business in that country. He allowed and assisted his son to conduct illegal business in China and several Eastern European countries. Funds were distributed to the vice president, his brother, Jim, and various members of the Biden clan.

As president, Joe Biden opened the U.S. southern and northern borders to hordes of illegal aliens from more than 170 countries around the world. His foreign policies have allowed Iran to develop nuclear weapons capabilities while arming its proxies with the intent of destroying Israel. Biden’s economic policies have been disastrous, with flagrant spending and subsidies to his political supporters. These policies resulted in the highest inflation in fifty years. Under Biden, the national debt has exploded. Our military has been used as a Petrie dish for social change, including DEI and CRT, and our military academies no longer teach our future officers how to be warriors, but rather to be social engineers. These policies have resulted in the worst military readiness since World War II.

What will be said as a eulogy to Joe Biden? If anyone lauds this inveterate liar, it will be his son, Hunter who would be in jail if not for his father’s pardon while hundreds of January 6 trespassers still languish in the Washington, D.C. Gulag. I can think of only one good thing Joe Biden has done, and that is to keep Jimmy Carter from being remembered as the worst president in modern history.

A fair assessment and well stated. Were I describing the illegitimate occupant of our Oval Office, Biden, I’d apply these pejoratives, most certainly not exhaustive: corrupt, unethical, immoral, hypocritical, pagan, despicable, vile, venomous, incorrigible, and demonic.
